<em>The Verge</em> has taken a longstanding interest in repeatedly asking one question: What is a photo? Apple's new AI photo editing tools have prompted that question again. Clean Up and Extend are nothing entirely new, removing distracting elements or expanding a photo's frame, but Spatial Reframing, which lets you "retake" a photo from a different vantage point, is more of a first.
