Iam Me,
I want to be really clear about something:
I'm not anti-job.
In fact, jobs are great.
They pay the bills… they give you structure…
And some people genuinely love what they do for a living, and that's amazing.
Not to mention, we NEED lawyers, doctors, blue collar workers, and so on.
That being said, there are 4 things your job will never give you, no matter how good it is.
And I think you need to hear them.
- Ownership.
You don't own your job. You rent it.
Your employer can end it whenever they want, for reasons that have nothing to do with you.
A restructure, a budget cut, a new manager who wants "their own team."
You're building someone else's dream on borrowed time.
- Time freedom.
Even the best jobs require you to be somewhere, at a specific time, for a set number of hours.
You trade time for money.
And more money usually means more time traded.
- Bucks while you sleep.
If you stop showing up, you stop getting paid.
That’s just how it is.
I can’t name one traditional job where money hits your account on a random Tuesday morning because of work you did three months ago.
- Something to pass down.
You can't leave your job to your kids.
You can't hand your career to your grandchildren.
When you're done, it's done.
