I was teaching 20 yoga classes a week…

Iam Me,

The first night I ever tried Kindle Publishing, I went to bed not really expecting anything.

I'd uploaded my first book…

Clicked "publish"...

And honestly... I figured I'd check in on it after a few days.

Maybe a week. Maybe never, if I chickened out.

But the next morning, I came downstairs to my laptop... and there it was.

$14 in royalities.

And look, 14 bucks isn't going to change anyone's life.

I know that. It's barely a lunch.

But Iam Me, I need you to understand what that $14 actually meant to me in that moment.

See, this was the first time I had EVER made a single cent online.

Ever. In my entire life.

I'd tried other things.

I'd failed at other things.

I'd sunk thousands into a physical product on Amazon that barely sold.

I was teaching 20 yoga classes a week, waiting tables at a backwoods burger joint, and trying to keep it together for my 18-month-old son.

And then... 14 bucks appeared on my screen while I was sleeping.

And that shifted something for me.

Because it gave me proof.

Proof that this thing actually worked.

Proof that I could make bucks from home.

Proof that there was a way out of the hamster wheel I'd been running on.
