Ben,
As we approach the end of January, despite the loss of federal funding, we at Maine Public are as busy as ever.
Our local news team is hard at work reporting on the issues that are important to you and your community. The Maine Public Television team just launched a new locally produced program called Soundwaves that spotlights Maine musicians (Thursdays at 8 p.m.). Meanwhile, our Maine Public Classical team just added another hour of locally hosted classical music to our schedule, as well as new music features to each of our daytime shows.
I am proud of these developments, and you should be too. After all, it’s your support (https://contact.mainepublic.org/s/4522569/4xSejqoY) that makes it possible. But our work has only just begun. While we have made progress in closing the $5 million gap left by federal funding cuts, there is still work to be done.
Ben, Maine Public Radio’s first fundraiser of 2026 is here. Can we count on you to support Maine Public at this critical time?
DONATE NOW (https://contact.mainepublic.org/s/4522570/4xSejqoY)
These are challenging times for public broadcasting, but your support reminds us why this work is important. With mid-term elections on the horizon and lots of local news to follow, you want this service to be as strong as it can be so, please make your donation (https://contact.mainepublic.org/s/4522571/4xSejqoY) today.
With sincere thanks,
Rick Schneider

Warning
Almost all the messages that arrive here are garbage! Resist the urge to click on any unexpected or questionable links.
It may happen that e-mail will claim to come from liamon.com, especially from some administrative role or process. These are certainly garbage. There are no accounts to expire. There are no passwords to leak. There aren't administrators sending messages to liamon.com addresses. These are certainly phishing attempts.
Absolutely ignore those links!
