<p style="margin: 0;"><span style="color: rgb(128, 126, 131); font-weight: bold;">Natural gas freeze-offs reached a single-day high of 17 billion cubic feet (bcf) earlier this week as an intense Arctic weather system swept across the US. According to Wood Mackenzie, the cumulative freeze-off for winter 2025/26 has now reached 58.3 bcf and this bullish price effect has impacted US LNG exports and will be adding to large 'deliverability' issues in Q1-2026.</span></p>

According to Wood Mackenzie, the cumulative freeze-off for winter 2025/26 has now reached 58.3 bcf and this bullish price effect has impacted US LNG exports and will be adding to large 'deliverability' issues in Q1-2026. Freeze-offs – basically freezing water inside wellheads and feeder pipelines – is reducing the throughput of vital pipelines carrying shale gas from the Haynesville and Permian basin.
