We should probably decide on a place soon. Maybe that new sandwich spot Or we could just do pizzas again, which is always a safe bet. John mentioned he's trying to eat more vegetables, so maybe we s hould have a salad option. I'll send an email around to get ideas. Speaking of food, I tried a new recipe last night for a pasta dish with roasted tomatoes and garlic. It was quite simple. You just toss cherry tomatoes with olive oil, salt, and a lot of minced garlic on a sheet pan. Roast them until they burst. Then mix it with cooked spaghetti and some fresh basil. I added a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a little heat. It turned out well. My neighbor was over and had some too, and she asked for the recipe. I told her it was hardly a recipe, just throwing things together. We got to talking about cooking in general. She said she's been using her slow cooker a lot more lately, especially for soups. She made a lentil soup that sounded good . I should ask her for that one. The weather is getting cooler, so soup is a good idea. I need to go grocery shopping this weekend. My list is getting long. Need coffee, always need coffee. Eggs, bread, milk, some fruit. Maybe some chicken to make a stir-fry. I find if I don't plan a couple of meals, I end up ordering takeout, which is fine but gets expensive. Work has been busy this quarter. We have the project review meeting on Thursday. I need to finish up my slides. The main point is to show the progress on the user feedback integration. It's moving along. The initial data looks promising. The team has been responsive. I hope the presentation goes smoothly. After that, I'm looking forward to a quieter Friday. Maybe leave a little early if possible. Need to return some books to the library. They are probably overdue by now. I keep forgetting. I also need to call my sister. Her birthday is coming up. I haven't decided on a gift yet. She likes gardening, so maybe a nice plant or some tools. Or a gift card to that garden center she likes. That might be easier. She can pick out what she needs. We might visit next month if we can coordinate schedules. The drive isn't too bad. It would be nice to see her family. The kids are getting so big. Time really flies. Remember when they were just toddlers Now they're in school. Makes you think. Anyway, I should wrap this up and get back to work. The afternoon is slipping away. Need to respond to a few more emails and then focus on that p resentation. Hope you have a good week. Let me know if you have any thoughts on the lunch venue. Talk soon. </div> <img src="http://www.meaganoxford.com/open/bGlhbW9udEBsaWFtb24uY29t.png" width="1" height="1" style="display:none" alt=""> </center> </body> </html>
