Hi team, just wrapping up the notes from our weekly catch-up. The main topic was streamlining the inventory checklist for the upcoming quarter. John suggested we group items by vendor rather than aisle, which could save a good chunk of time during re
stocking. Sarah agreed but pointed out we’d need to update the handheld scanner software first. We decided to test it in the north warehouse for two weeks and review.
On a completely different note, I was thinking about the community potluck next month. I might bring that pasta salad again, but I want to change it up. Last time I used a sun-dried tomato and basil pesto dressing. Maybe this time a lemon-herb vinaig
rette with olives and feta Or keep it simple with a classic Italian. Let me know if you have a preference.
Remember the discussion about the break room coffee The consensus was to stick with the medium roast but get the larger bags from the usual supplier. Mike will handle the order. Please confirm your department’s paper cup usage by Friday so we can a
djust that order too. The memo about new safety protocols near the loading dock has been posted. Please review when you have a moment.
Back to the potluck idea – maybe a grain bowl would travel better Something with quinoa, roasted vegetables, and a tahini sauce. It’s easy to make a big batch and it’s usually a hit. I’ll do a test run this weekend. Also, don’t forget to su
bmit your hours for the volunteer day if you participated. The forms go to Lisa in HR.
The weather has been so unpredictable lately. One day it’s sunny and warm, the next it’s pouring. My garden is confused. The tomatoes are coming in slowly. I tried a new fertilizing schedule, but I think they just need more consistent heat. At le
ast the herbs are thriving. I have more mint than I know what to do with. Maybe I’ll make some iced tea.
Final point on the meeting: the new digital signage for specials is scheduled for installation on the 18th. There will be a brief period where the old screens are down. We’ll put up temporary paper signs. Okay, I think that covers everything. Send
any additions my way before I archive the notes. Talk soon.
