Hey team, just circling back on the weekly check-in notes from Tuesday. The main focus was streamlining the inventory checklist for the seasonal items. Sarah suggested we group by vendor rather than aisle, which seemed to get a positive nod from logi
stics. I’ll draft a new template by Friday.
On a completely different note, I tried that new recipe for sheet-pan chicken with root vegetables last night. It was surprisingly simple. Just toss everything with olive oil, rosemary, and a bit of garlic powder. Roast at 425 for about 40 minutes. T
he parsnips came out perfectly caramelized. Might be a good one for the family gathering next month. Let me know if you want the detailed steps.
The park renovation down the street is finally finished. They added a new walking path and some benches. It’s a nice spot for a coffee break. Speaking of coffee, the office machine has been acting up again. Maybe time to put in a maintenance reques
t.
Remember the client presentation slides need the updated market data before the end of the week. I’ve forwarded the latest report from the research group. It has the regional breakdowns we discussed. The summary is on page four.
My neighbor is thinking of starting a vegetable garden and asked for advice. I told them to start with tomatoes and zucchini – pretty forgiving for beginners. Also, to check the sunlight in their yard first. It reminded me I need to get my own seed
lings soon.
The book club is meeting next Wednesday. We’re discussing that historical fiction novel. I’m only halfway through, so I need to pick up the pace. Has anyone else started it I heard the ending is quite good.
The software update for the project management tool is scheduled for Sunday night. There should be minimal downtime. They’re adding a new file annotation feature which could be useful for the design reviews. I’ll send the release notes around onc
e I have them.
Need to finalize the agenda for the departmental meeting. The main topics are the Q3 planning and the new safety protocols. If anyone has items to add, please send them by tomorrow afternoon. I’ll compile everything into a single document.
The community center is hosting a recycling drive this Saturday. I’ll be dropping off some old electronics. They take printers and cables too. It’s a good way to clear out the garage.
Weather looks like it might turn cooler next week. Time to put away the summer fans and find the sweaters. I always forget which box the winter clothes are in. Note to self: label boxes better next season.
Traffic on the usual route has been heavier lately due to the roadwork on Maple. Might be worth leaving a few minutes earlier or taking the parkway alternate route. The extra five minutes might save some frustration.
I finally organized the digital files on the shared drive. Created new folders for each fiscal year and archived the old proposals. It should be easier to find things now. Let me know if the new structure works for everyone.
