Hello everyone,
I hope you're all doing well today. As the season changes, I've been spending more time cooking outdoors and wanted to discuss some of my favorite meat choices and preparation techniques. Lately, I've been using a slow-cooking approach for ribeye cut
s, which gives a nice crust and keeps the inside moist.
I'd love to know what cuts you like best, how you season them, and any advice for getting good results on the grill. Whether you're experienced or new to this, your thoughts would be welcome!
Can't wait to hear your ideas!
All the best,
Chloe

Hi Chloe and all,
Thanks for starting this conversation! Chloe, your method for ribeye sounds great. I usually pick sirloin cuts because they have good texture and taste without too much fat.
For seasoning, I like using salt, pepper, a bit of garlic, and some paprika. I let the meat sit out for around 20 minutes before cooking to help it cook evenly. To get nice marks on the grill, I start with high heat for a few minutes on each side, th
en lower the heat to finish.
Any suggestions for adding more flavor or other enhancements would be appreciated!
Take care,
Ethan

Good morning Ethan, Chloe, and everyone,
Both of your techniques sound wonderful. I often choose filet mignon for its tenderness. Sometimes, I add a flavored butter on top for extra taste. My usual seasonings are salt, pepper, and a little rosemary.
One thing I find helpful is allowing the meat to rest after cooking. I cover it loosely and wait about 5-10 minutes before cutting. This helps keep it juicy.
If you want a smoky note, I recommend using soaked wood chips like apple or cherry when grilling. It adds a pleasant aroma without being too strong.
Excited to learn more from all of you!
Best,
Isabella
