Hi team, just wrapping up the notes from the weekly sync. The main focus for Q3 is streamlining the vendor onboarding process. John mentioned the current forms are causing delays. Sarah suggested we create a digital checklist that auto-populates from
the master database. We'll revisit next Tuesday.
On a different note, I was thinking about the potluck next month. I might bring that pasta salad again, but I want to try a new variation. Maybe with sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts instead of olives. Or a lemon herb vinaigrette instead of th
e creamy dressing. Let me know if anyone has strong preferences.
Remember the discussion about office coffee The consensus was to keep the medium roast but add a decaf option. The order should be placed by the 15th. Janet will handle the purchase.
I've been reading a book on urban gardening. It's fascinating how much you can grow in a small space. The author recommends starting with herbs and leafy greens. They require less direct sun and are more forgiving for beginners. My basil plant is doi
ng surprisingly well on the windowsill.
The project timeline for the client portal update looks good. The design phase is set to conclude by month's end. Development will start in early July. We need to ensure the QA team has access to the staging environment by the 10th.
Weather has been unusually mild this spring. It's nice for walking meetings. We should take advantage of the courtyard more often. Maybe schedule the brainstorming session outside if it's dry.
Has anyone tried the new sandwich place on Elm Street I heard their roasted vegetable panini is good. Could be a spot for a casual team lunch. We could go after the budget review on Thursday.
Back to the memo. The key action items are: finalize vendor form revisions by Friday, confirm potluck attendees by next Wednesday, and schedule a brief demo of the new analytics dashboard. I'll send a calendar invite for the demo once I check with IT
on their availability.
I also need to follow up on the conference room booking system. There was a glitch last week where double bookings occurred. The facilities team is aware and working on a patch. In the meantime, please double-check your reservations.
Thinking about weekend plans. Might finally tackle reorganizing the garage. It's one of those tasks that's been on the list for months. Or perhaps a hike if the weather holds. The trail by the reservoir is supposed to be lovely this time of year.
Please review the attached document on policy updates. The changes are minor, mostly clarifications on remote work guidelines and expense reporting. Let's discuss any questions in our next one-on-one.
The department meeting agenda is almost set. We'll cover the quarterly goals, the new software rollout, and recognition for the process improvement suggestions. Remember to submit any topics by end of day tomorrow.
That's all for now. The notes will be uploaded to the shared drive by this afternoon. Feel free to add anything I might have missed. Looking forward to seeing the potluck ideas come together. Enjoy the rest of your week.
