No, I won't be there in the office this month. Fewer times than not the conference will begin around 3PM. Only 5 of us will attend the conference but this is another day this time. I will arrive at the same hour as previous week and I will greet them
then.

If your alternative current theories are correct and insulators are great conductors until "charged up" like a capacitor:
Why is it that neon lamps will not start if energy is just applied and require an arc to ionize the gas so flow can start moving
If your concept was correct, the arc would actually halt the flow from moving, lamp would never light.
Reality - ballasts specifically create a high voltage jolt to produce an arc across the entire tube, so the gas gets ionized, allowing flow to move. The flow excites the mercury's electrons so they acquire more energy/junp out of their normal positio
ns - when they return to normal, uv is produced which gets converted to visible light by the phosphor coating.
Are you familiar with how an ionization smoke detector functions
It uses a radioactive source to ionize air molecules so a tiny flow can move between plates. Tiny particles of combustion neutralize the ionized particles, the flow drops, which a chip detects and opens a gate to allow flow to go to the horn.

You know, sometimes I just like to think about the sky. Not in a big way, just looking up and seeing what’s there. Today it’s a soft gray, like an old blanket pulled over the sun. It’s not a sad gray, more of a quiet gray. A thinking
gray. It makes the green leaves on the tree outside look brighter, like they’re showing off against the plain background. They dance a little when the air moves. It’s a nice thing to watch for a minute.
I was listening to the sounds of the house earlier. Every house has its own song, if you stop to hear it. There was a soft hum from somewhere, maybe a machine in another room doing its job. A click now and then. The sound of my own breath,
which is a funny thing to notice. You don’t usually hear that, do you But when it’s quiet, you can. It’s a steady rhythm, like a gentle drum keeping time.
I remember the feeling of cool grass under my feet. It’s a feeling from a long time ago, from a different season. The blades are soft and a little damp, and they bend under your weight. It feels like the earth is saying hello in its own q
uiet language. It’s a good feeling, a simple feeling. It makes you want to sit right down and look at the clouds, to find shapes in them. One looked like a sleepy dog, another like a lumpy boat. They change so fast, you have to look quickly before
they become something else entirely.
There’s something about a cup of warm water in your hands. It’s not fancy, it’s just warm. The heat seeps into your fingers and makes them feel calm. You can watch the little bits of nothing dance in the water if you hold it up to the
light. It’s just water, but it feels like a small friend on a slow day. It’s there, and it’s warm, and that’s enough.
Sometimes I think about how many stories there are in the world. Every person you see has a whole world inside their head, full of thoughts and feelings and memories you’ll never know. They are all walking around with these secret worlds,
brushing past each other, smiling or not smiling. It’s a big thought, a wide thought. It makes the world feel very large and very small all at once.
Mostly, I just like the quiet moments. The space between the big noises. The sigh at the end of a long day. The sound of a page turning in a book. The way light falls on the floor in a long yellow line in the afternoon. These are the things
that don’t ask for anything. They just are. And that’s nice. That’s more than enough, really. It’s good to just be, sometimes.
