Subject: State Courtesy Road Kit for Licensed Drivers, From:AAA

Plain Text

Roadside Readiness Alert: For Licensed Motorists Explore the state-enabled AAA kit option below. Yes, I will be out of the office until the 20th. I will let them know that we can move them back to another day and see what they say. haha, yes it may actually be very difficult to make them but they look lovely! And I love that the colourful bits are little sunflower seeds, yum! Good point ohiotom76, for me it's not really about time. It's more about nausea. I often wake up and the thought of eating something repels me. However, I am a lot better with this now and looking back I think it was anxiety. But I really couldn't eat anything without getting an upset stomach or feeling very sick.

He can't expect you to read his mind. We all have days when we are craving one thing or another, then other days when we have no appetite for those things at all. This happens to me all the time when I try to "plan ahead" all my meals for the week or make stuff in advance. I am almost never in the mood for it when it comes time to eat it. If I make a big pot of Chili, by the time I am done with it, I am totally craving Chinese food instead or something like that.

On the other hand, I could understand someone saying something like this if the person cooking is just throwing stuff in a pot to get it done and not really paying much attention to the food or how it comes out. Not accusing you of doing this, I was actually thinking of my mom these days

(I know this is awful to day, but she'll even admit to it). She's a great cook, but as we've all gotten older, I think she's a bit burned out on having to cook for everyone all the time and making a bunch of pots and pans, so she just makes really basic stuff most of the time anymore - spaghetti with butter and parmesan, a pan fried steak, some microwaved green beans, etc... Not the homemade kolachi rolls, sunday sauces, casseroles, homemade pierogi and stuff like that these days...

My friend always wants their pasta cooked twice as long as everyone else, even if no one agrees it's better that way. We joke about how people develop preferences for recipes that might seem unusual, and restaurants pull it off differently. Sometimes it’s not the cooking ability but nostalgia for a specific taste, even when guests don’t share it.

In my household, it’s not rare for someone to recommend changing up a classic family dish or try to match a favorite diner’s take. But, those attempts are always colored by the memories and comfort attached to them. It reminds me that, in gatherings big or small, each person quietly roots for their favorite version—even if the table never reaches consensus. Every shared meal tells a story, sometimes with compromise and always with laughter.

If you recognize this in your own cooking traditions or family get-togethers, you’re in good company. Enjoy your meals and memories.
Cheers,
Morgan

Hello group,

It’s amazing how a warm pot of soup can lift my spirits after a long day. My favorite is a simple chicken noodle—simmered until the vegetables are just right. It always brings me back to cozy evenings as a kid. Curious what others reach for when they want a taste of home.

Looking forward to reading your replies!
Frances

Hi Frances crew,

Chicken noodle soup is a classic pick! My top comfort food is definitely shepherd’s pie, the way my grandmother made it layered with creamy potatoes and a bit of cheddar. That first spoonful always feels like a hug. Excited to see what foods others will share.

Morning all,

I love all the hearty dishes! For me, nothing beats the taste of dumplings in a spicy broth. Making them with my family was always fun, and it made rainy days so much better.

All the best,
Nadia

Such great ideas, everyone! Macaroni baked with a crispy topping is my all-time favorite. It’s one of the few meals all my siblings can agree on, which is rare.

Hi all,
When I’m craving comfort, it’s a big bowl of chili that keeps me satisfied. Especially on crisp autumn nights, the flavors remind me of cookouts with neighbors and friends.

Reading all your favorites is making me hungry! My family’s go-to is lemon chicken and rice—a dish my dad taught me to make when I was young. Super comforting and simple, but always delicious.
Take care,
Ethan
