Meeting Notes - Team Lunch Planning
From: Regional Operations
Date: October 15
Attendees: Jamie, Taylor, Morgan, Casey
Jamie: Has anyone tried the new salad place on 5th I heard they have a great seasonal squash salad.
Taylor: Not yet. I've been bringing leftovers this week. Made a big batch of that lentil soup.
Morgan: Soup is perfect for this weather. I've been on a chili kick. Tried a white bean and chicken version last night.
Casey: That sounds good. Can you share the recipe I'm looking for slow cooker ideas.
Morgan: Sure. It's pretty simple. Onions, garlic, chicken broth, canned white beans, shredded cooked chicken, some cumin and oregano. I topped it with a little avocado.
Jamie: We should do a recipe swap next week. I have a great one-pan roasted salmon with asparagus and cherry tomatoes.
Taylor: Good idea. Maybe we can compile a small internal list for the break room. Quick, easy dinners.
Casey: I can contribute my baked oatmeal recipe. Makes breakfast for the whole week.
Morgan: How does it hold up I find mine gets dry.
Casey: The key is using mashed banana or applesauce in the mix. Keeps it moist. I also add frozen berries before baking.
Jamie: Speaking of berries, the farmer's market has fantastic blueberries right now. Picked up two pints last weekend.
Taylor: I made blueberry muffins. Used a bit of lemon zest in the batter. They were gone in a day.
Morgan: My kids would love those. Maybe that's my weekend project.
Casey: Let's circle back to the lunch planning. Should we set a date for a potluck next month
Jamie: The third Friday might work. I'll check the calendar and send a poll.
Taylor: Sounds good. I'll bring a pasta salad.
Morgan: I can do a dessert. Maybe brownies.
Casey: Great. I'll handle drinks. Meeting adjourned, I guess.
Personal Journal Entry
Finally remembered to water the plants on the balcony. The herbs are looking a bit better. Thinking about repotting the rosemary this weekend. Need to get more potting soil. Added that to the list alongside groceries. Grocery list is mostly staples:
eggs, milk, bread, coffee. Maybe some chicken for grilling. The weather forecast looks clear for Saturday, so maybe a barbecue is in order. Should invite a couple friends over. Keep it simple - burgers, corn on the cob, a green salad. Need to check i
f I have enough charcoal.
Memo: Office Supply Restock
The printer paper has been replenished. Please use the recycling bin for all scrap paper. The new whiteboard markers are in the top drawer of the supply cabinet. The coffee service will be switched to the autumn blend starting Monday. Feedback on the
new blend can be sent to facilities. The dish soap in the kitchen sink is running low; a new bottle is under the sink. Reminder to please clean out the refrigerator every Friday afternoon. Any items left will be disposed of.
Dialogue - Weekend Plans
Alex: Any big plans for the weekend
Sam: Not really. Might finally tackle organizing the garage. It's been on my list for months. You
Alex: Hoping to get out for a long hike if the rain holds off. The trails up north should be nice this time of year.
Sam: That sounds better than my garage. Have you been to the new state park section
Alex: Not yet. Heard it's a good moderate loop, about five miles. Might check it out.
Sam: Well, good luck with the weather. I'll be thinking of you while I'm sorting through old boxes.
Alex: Trade you!
Sam: No thanks. Enjoy your hike. Tell me how it is.
