Memo: Team Lunch Ideas for Next Week
From: Jamie, Operations
To: All Floor Staff

Hi everyone,
Looking ahead to next week’s schedule. Wanted to gather some thoughts on lunch options for the Thursday team meeting. The break room fridge will be stocked, but if anyone has specific requests, let me know by end of day Wednesda
y.

Some suggestions from last time:
- Sandwich platter from the local deli (they do a good turkey and avocado)
- Large salads with a couple of dressing choices
- Soup and bread bowls, maybe a vegetarian chili
- Fruit tray and yogurt parfaits for a lighter option

Reply to this thread with your preference or any dietary notes. Also, remember to bring your mugs for the coffee cart that will be here in the morning.

On a separate note, the new inventory checklist is now on the shared drive. Please review the section on produce handling when you have a moment. The main points are about rotation and temperature logging.

Thanks,
Jamie

---

Personal Note: Need to pick up groceries tonight. Running low on eggs, milk, and coffee. Maybe try that new recipe for sheet-pan chicken with vegetables. Saw it in a magazine: chicken thighs, potatoes, bell peppers, red onion, oli
ve oil, rosemary, salt, pepper. Roast at 425 for about 35 minutes. Could make enough for two nights.

Also, need to call about the dentist appointment reminder. And check the library book due date. The novel is good but slow going. The main character is a historian researching old trade routes. The descriptions of coastal towns ar
e very detailed. Not sure I’ll finish before it’s due.

Weather looks clear for the weekend. Might be a good chance to finally clean out the garage. Sort the recycling, take the old paint cans to the disposal site. The bin for donations is nearly full with clothes and some old dishes.
Should drop that off on Saturday morning.

Meeting notes from the morning stand-up: Project timelines are on track. The focus this week is finalizing the quarterly report data. The graphics team needs the charts by Friday. The conference room projector is acting up again;
put in a maintenance ticket.

Conversation with Alex in the hallway: They mentioned their daughter’s school science fair is next month. The project is about plant growth under different light conditions. Using LED strips and measuring stem length each day. S
ounded like a fun setup.

Need to update the contact list for the vendor calls. The number for the paper supplier changed. The new area code is 634. The main line goes to a menu system now, press 2 for account inquiries.

Reminder to water the office plants. The fern in the corner is looking a bit dry. The succulents on the windowsill are fine, they only need water every couple of weeks. The light in that spot is strong in the afternoon.

Thinking about rearranging the desk layout. Maybe move the filing cabinet closer to the door. Would make it easier to grab folders on the way to meetings. But the power outlet for the lamp is on the other wall. Would need an exten
sion cord, which is a tripping hazard. Maybe not.

The weekend forecast is still holding. Sunny, high of 72. Perfect for a walk in the park. The new path by the river is finally open after the repairs. Heard it’s paved now and goes all the way to the bridge. Could take a book an
d find a bench.

Need to check the car’s tire pressure. The dashboard light came on this morning. Probably just the cooler temperatures. The air pump is at the gas station on Elm Street. While there, fill up the tank. Gas prices seemed to drop a
little this week.

Back to work. The inbox has about twenty new messages. Sort by priority. The one from logistics about the shipment delay is first. Then the meeting invite for the budget review. Then the newsletter from the professional associatio
n. Save that for later.

The office is quiet now. Just the sound of the heating system and a few keyboards clicking. The clock on the wall says it’s almost eleven. Time for a quick stretch and a glass of water. Keep hydrated.
