Memo: Team Lunch Ideas for Next Week
From: Jamie, Office Coordinator
To: All Staff
Date: October 26

Hi everyone,

Let's brainstorm some options for the upcoming team lunch. We have a budget that allows for a nice variety. I was thinking we could do a build-your-own sandwich and salad bar. We could get a selection of breads – maybe ciabatta, whole grain, and so
me wraps. For proteins, roasted turkey, ham, and a vegetarian option like grilled halloumi or marinated tofu could work.

Sarah from accounting mentioned she had a great pasta salad at a picnic recently. She said it had sun-dried tomatoes, olives, and a light vinaigrette. That could be a good side dish to include. Alternatively, we could look at a hot option like a soup
or a couple of large pizzas from that place downtown everyone liked last time.

For drinks, we should have the usual sparkling water, still water, and some iced tea. I'll check if anyone has specific requests for non-alcoholic beverages. Dessert is always a topic of debate. Some prefer fruit platters, others like cookies or brow
nies. Perhaps we can do a small assortment so there's something for everyone.

Please reply to this note with your preferences or any dietary requirements I should note. I need to finalize the order by Tuesday morning. If you have a favorite local deli or caterer, feel free to pass along their information. My goal is to find so
mething that is satisfying and convenient for the whole team.

On a separate note, don't forget the printer on the second floor is being serviced tomorrow, so please use the one in the main conference room if needed. The technician said it should be back online by Wednesday afternoon at the latest.

Also, I've been reading about different coffee brewing methods at home. The French press is straightforward, but I've been experimenting with a pour-over setup. It requires a bit more attention but the flavor can be really clear and bright. It's inte
resting how the grind size and water temperature make such a difference. It's a small morning ritual that I've come to enjoy.

Back to the lunch planning – let's try to keep it simple but enjoyable. A good meal can really help with afternoon productivity and team morale. I remember last quarter we did the taco bar and it was a big hit. The key was having all the toppings s
eparate so people could customize their plates. We might be able to do something similar with a different cuisine.

I'll compile all the responses and send out a final menu by end of day Tuesday. Looking forward to your suggestions.

Best,
Jamie

P.S. The plants in the common area could use a little water if anyone has a moment this afternoon. The one by the window is looking a bit dry. Thanks!
